JoieThings is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, and keyboard-only navigation. We want every customer to be able to browse, choose, and buy a notebook independently.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and are the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the United States.

What we do

• Provide text alternatives for product and decorative images.
• Make every page, menu, product option, cart, and checkout step reachable and operable with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
• Offer a “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
• Use clear headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page structure.
• Keep text readable with sufficient color contrast and allow it to be resized or zoomed without loss of content.
• Never auto-play video on mobile, and always provide a visible pause control when video is playing.
• Respect your operating system’s “reduce motion” setting.
• Review the site with automated accessibility tools and manual keyboard and screen-reader testing as part of our development process.

Known limitations

Parts of the checkout and payment experience are provided by third parties (WooCommerce and Stripe). We choose vendors that publish their own accessibility commitments, but we cannot fully control their code. If you run into a problem in any of those steps, please tell us and we will help you complete your order another way.
